Graduated from Konawaena High School
Bachelor of Education- Secondary Education, Social Studies (History) from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
I had the wonderful opportunity to start my teaching career at Konawaena Middle School on the Big Island teaching 8th grade Social Studies. After four years I transferred over to my current school, Moanalua Middle School, where I have been teaching at since 2003 (mostly 7th and 8th grade Social Studies). Currently I am teaching 8th grade Social Studies for the 2018-2019 school year.
In my free time I like to enjoy time with my wife, family and friends. Some of my other interests includes taking care of my planted aquarium fish tanks and reading young adult books. Some current favorites include:
- The Memory of Light - Francisco X. Stork
- Challenger Deep - Neal Shusterman
- The Lunar Chronicles - Marissa Meyers
- Turtles All The Way Down - John Green
- The Book Thief - Markus Zusak
- 13 Little Blue Envelopes - Maureen Johnson
- Scythe - Neal Shusterman
I'm looking forward to another great school year and hope to meet you in the near future!
