Moanalua High School Gymnasium

The CDBF Parade of Bands will showcase the south area schools from the Central District of O’ahu. The participating schools in program order are Aiea Intermediate, Aiea High, Aliamanu Middle, Radford High, Moanalua Middle, and Moanalua High, followed by a massed band selection. Mr. Keith Higaki and Mr. Harvey Benstein are the adjudicators who will critique and evaluate each band. The Moanalua Symphonic Band will perform “Voices of the Sky” and “A Percy Grainger Suite.”

Meeting Time: 4:45 p.m. @ MoHS upper student parking lot (Fire Station)
Rehearsal Time: 5:30 p.m. Mass Band rehearsal – be in bleachers w/folding stands
(Do NOT play instruments until start time.)
Concert Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:15 p.m. (approximate end time; please allow time for
students to clean-up gym)
Attire: Symphonic Band aloha shirt, long black pants, long black socks
Food: Concession food/drinks will NOT be provided. Please eat before the rehearsal.
Parent Parking: Student/Teacher parking lot located on Ala Napunani Street

No busses will be provided and thus students shall report to MoHS at the indicated meeting time and location. Be sure to take your instrument and music on Friday. Only percussionist and student officers shall report to MMS band room on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and after concert to load/unload large instruments and equipment onto Penske truck – Percussion, Tuba, Euphonium, and Baritone Saxophone.
