SURFF BOOK MOVIE POSTER
PROMOTE your SURFF Book as a movie by following these steps to create a GLOG (demonstrated in class):
STEP 1
1. Select the mood and tone for your movie based on the book and choose a wallpaper/background to match.
2. Cast actors to star in your movie (either movie stars, eg. “The Dinner Party” or friends and family, eg. “The Big Picture”, but with permission)
3. Write a description of each character.
4. Pick a soundtrack (music) to go along with your movie. Be sure to cite it, and find the lyrics to the song. You will need to explain why you chose it in a comment as well as post the lyrics.
5. Describe the conflict, but don't give the ending away! WARNING: Do this summary in your own words.
6. Include WORKS CITED either on your poster or as a comment below your poster.

CREATE a GLOG; Use the elements gathered above and create your poster on edu.glogster.com. Invite code will be posted in class.
7. Include symbols that represent important elements in the story.

    4. Adjust the font and size to your satisfaction, but leave room for your pictures.

-Using your first name, write an acrostic poem that reveals who you really are.
-Use words that are descriptive and worthy of 7th grade (not elementary school words like nice, good, smart), and PHRASES, not just one word.
-We will use the poem in class, so this can be in draft form (don't print it out or add graphics, we will do this in class).

STEP 2:
-Take a picture of yourself (from iPads in class) and upload it to Google Drive
-In Google Drive, create a new PRESENTATION
-Change the background to a solid color of your choice
-Insert your picture
-Create a text box and add your ACROSTIC poem (copy and paste from the document you created it in)
-Check to see that the words are legible (change the color of the font to make words stand out, select a font that is readable)

STEP 3:
Publish your ACROSTIC to your class blog.

  2. Select the “EMBED” tab
