A NOTE ABOUT GOOGLE ACCOUNTS August 8, 2011 **Aloooha!!** Thanks go out to all of you who have set up your accounts (or tried to) and started using Khan Academy! There has been a common problem coming from parents regarding age restriction. I did a little research and found that your computer, through the use of cookies, is probably remembering only the first age you inputted. It's kind of a good thing. It helps to prevent young ones who first try to sign up on their own from putting in false information after realizing they got blocked. So here are possible solutions: 1) The best thing is probably to go to a new computer; or you can 2) use another browser; or 3) clear your cookies; or 4) reboot. This is what I found, but don't know which works best. Any feedback as to the what worked for you would be greatly appreciated! I'll pass on the information.

A NOTE ABOUT THE PERSONAL MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS:  The students took a pre-assessment at the end of last week.  It is not for a grade.  It was just to let us teachers know, as well as you and the student, the areas of strength and areas to work on in math.  There are some items that your child may not have learned as yet.  However, there are many topics that students should already be familiar with, such as adding of decimals and fractions among others.  These topics are available on Khan Academy for review at home.  In addition, students may come in after school to work with me on M, T, Th, or F.  Please feel free to contact me to set up a regular tutoring time if necessary.
