Assignment

This post shows that the due date is May 20th, only because I want it to stay at the top of the homework page for easy access.

The attached document outlines the assignments for the quarter. This calendar is subject to change depending on the students' learning needs and any changes will be posted to this announcement.

Thank you,
Mrs. Lee

Due:

Assignment

Dear 7A students,
For science class, please disregard the Science 4th quarter Calendar deadlines.  Mrs. Ifuku and I have made an agreement on new deadlines for the final 4th quarter Social Studies and Science project.  Attached to this homework announcement is the Mass Transit project details sheet.  Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this project.  Each Social Studies and Science class will be devoted to working on the project.  Work needs to be done at home as well, but we are using class time to help you and to guide you through the process.

Thank you,
Mrs Lee and Mrs. Ifuku-Yi

Due:

Assignment

SUPER CREATURE!!!

Make sure to bring your super creature to class each day and work on it at home each day.

The written portion and development of your ideas are worth more than the drawing so spend the time developing the written statements about your super creature rather than the attractiveness of your creature.  Attractiveness is important in creating a quality product but over all the writing is where the "money" is!

Attached are the documents which tell you the directions and the rubric for your SUPER CREATURE!!!  And a link to a Climate/Biome site

Up, up, and away ;0)
Mrs. Lee

Assignment

A few students asked to have the sample posted online.  Here is the sample and the sample rubric.  Remember that the written communication about the creature's habitat, functions, super parts, scientific name, and origins are more important than the artwork.

The sample only earned a "C" because it failed to describe the climate/biome in greater detail, and also overtly address the creature's ability to survive in that climate/biome.

Good luck to you, I'm excited to see what you create! :0)

Assignment

Hello Team 7A,
I was mistaken, there are only 4 articles that you must complete by Feb. 23rd & 24th depending on your period.  Somehow one of my articles got left off when creating the UNIT.  I know you are all very sad about only doing 4 articles.

Please make sure to get them done before the deadline.

Here are the article titles:

   What's Hiding in Borneo?
   Slimy but Smart
Surprise There's Life Here After All

My Apologies,
Mrs. Lee

Here are the test topics and objectives:
   Be able to...
Match animals to their various Phyla
Determine which Phyla are vertebrates and invertebrates
Explain which organisms are prokaryotic and eukaryotic

Use a dichotomous key to identify the species of an organism

Happy Studying,
Mrs. Lee
