2021 December

Aloha MMS Families,

I hope everyone is having a relaxing winter break so far. For our military families affected by the Navy water issue, thank you for hanging in there and trying your best to deal with this situation.

I just have two reminders that I want to share with everyone. As we come back to school on January 4, 2022, and some of us may have traveled abroad and/or gathered with non-household family members and/or friends during the holidays, please conduct your wellness checks with your children as they come back to school. Let’s keep our students safe.

Also throughout the year, if your child will be absent from school due to an illness, please have them check in with our office upon their return.

Another reminder is in regards to our dress code policy. We are currently discussing and asking for input from our staff and families to see if we need to update parts of it. As we continue to discuss, we asked that we continue to follow our current dress code policy until we confirm any changes. Here is a link to our website with our current dress code policy.

A major part of our discussion is about the policy's type of colors that are allowed and the appropriateness of the bottoms and the outerwear we allow our students to wear. The easy part is our dress top which is a school shirt.

Stay tuned for more updates with any changes with our dress code as discussion continues.

Mahalo for your time. Happy Holidays. Please be safe out there.
