Welcome back!!! My name is Florentina Kobuke, I am the School Based Behavioral Health Specialist assigned to Moanalua Middle School (MMS). I work closely with Ms. Liane Yoshitsugu 7th grade Counselor and Mrs. SueAnne Bersola 8th grade Counselor. Together we work collaboratively with MMS faculty, staff and parents to provide social/emotional and academic supports to ensure our students success.
Growing up in the foster care system, has allowed me to truly appreciate the importance of providing youth with every opportunity to be successful in life. Once I aged out of the foster care system, I made a promise to myself that I would put myself in the positon to make a difference in the lives of youth. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Service, followed by earning my Master’s Degree in Social Work. For the past 17 years, I have worked in the Human Services field. Currently, I have worked as a School Based Behavioral Health Specialist for the past 6 years and I look forward to working with the faculty, staff, and parents of Moanalua Middle School.
My philosophy in life is, “Take care of YOURSELF, so you can take care of others”
I enjoy listening to instrumental music, singing loudly with the windows up in my car, drawing, fishing, roller skating, eating random snacks, watching boxing and hitting mitts.
