Bachelors of Arts in History from the University of Hawaii at Manoa Post Baccalaureate in Teaching from University of Hawaii at Manoa Masters in Middle Level Education. Teaching Experiences: Kailua Intermediate (1 year) Educational Assistant, Aiea High School (student teaching/summer school) Moanalua Middle School (19 years) SPED Resource Teacher and 7th and 8th grade Social Studies Teacher I have had a passion for social studies since I was in Elementary School. I have travelled the world to expand my knowledge and enjoy learning about history and cultures. I recently was awarded a scholarship to Williamsburg Teachers Institute for an intensive six day course on US. History.

I love trying new foods and writing about them on Yelp for fun. Sports is one of my passions. I've been in Kendo for more than 30 years, I coach three sports at Moanalua and I enjoy watching many sports live. I've done the Great Aloha Run multiple times along with the Honolulu Marathon (2x), Swamp Romp, Spartan Race, Makahiki Challenge, Nike Run, and Glo Run. Yes, its extremely hard to love being active and love eating at the same time (maybe too much).

I appreciate the opportunity to teach students in Team 7C, Mana Nui.

ps. I've attached the rubrics I will be using in class throughout the year.
