Principals Message August 2016
Dear Moanalua Middle School Ohana,
Welcome Back to the 2017-2018 school year. I hope everyone had a relaxing and restful summer vacation and spent more time with family, friends, loved ones and are anxiously awaiting the new school year. I am Mr. Wayne Guevara a proud Moanalua High alumnus, and are happy to serve you as your Principal.
This year I look forward to meeting with you at one of our many school wide events throughout the year. Please understand that the partnership that we establish throughout the year is very important to the success of your child, our school and our community. It truly, “takes a village”, to raise our keiki.
For the majority of you, this year will be a transitional year for your child and family. The “Middle School” years may be the hardest and the most rewarding years of your child’s life. They will be going through so many decision making opportunities as we push them to maximize their potential to reach their expectations. Take it one step at a time. We will all need to support one another on this journey.
For those returning to us as 8th graders, we will be even tougher on you, pushing you each day to meet the demands we set. Remember, we are preparing you for high school and even beyond high school. Your 8th grade year will past you in a blink of an eye. Remember to have fun and work hard.
The start is just around the corner, and I know we have prepared well and are ready to face the challenges of a new school year and to come out on top as a great middle school. Happy 50 Years of Excellence, Moanalua Middle School! “Go Mustangs!”
